Spring Break Missions Information 2012
 Our Christian culture says that serving the Lord is hard and undesirable. But Joshua 24:15 calls to us in that “if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your forefathers served beyond the river…but as for me and my house we will serve the Lord.” NIV How are we training up in our students the desire to serve God rather than the gods of our culture who call clearly to them?

Alaska- Spring Break
Port Lions, Alaska
March 31-April 9 Friday-Monday
Cost: $1450.00
Primary Goal- Work Project
Secondary Goal- Children VBS
Capacity: 10 Students, 2 staff
Transportation: Van , Ferry, Airline
Housing: Air mattress’ in Church, simple tourist hotel
We are going to begin a new stateside ministry in Alaska working with the Christian Church in Port Lions, Alaska. We will partner with the Pastor of Hillside Chapel in this remote village to bring love and encouragement to a community that needs love and support. We will also do some physical projects around the parsonage there and encourage the school age children.
 
Costa Rica- Spring Break
Cahuita, Costa Rica
March 31-April 9 Friday-Monday
Cost: $1450.00
PrimaryGoal- Church Growth/ VBS
Secondary Goal- Work Project
Organization: Iglesia Bautista de Cahuita
Capacity: 16 Students, 1 parent, 3 staff
Transportation: Tourist Bus, Airline
Housing: Attached cabins and airmattress on the floor in Shiroles

We will return to the beach town of Cahuita to help out Pastor Manuel with his small church. We We will continue to work with the church in Shiroles, Costa Rica where we will stay in the jungle for 4 days and do a VBS for this remote outpost. Our goal is to infuse new excitement and vigor for their congregation by inviting the neighborhood to church events.

Central Belize- Spring Break
Pomona, Belize
March 31-April 9 Friday-Monday
Cost: $1450.00
Primary Goal- Children VBS, Church Support
Secondary Goal- Work Project
Organization: Glasgow Belize Missions
Capacity: 16 Students, 1 parent, 3 staff
Transportation: Church Bus, Airline, Rental Vans
Housing: Small tourist hotel in Dangriga
We are partnering with Glascow Belize Missions and the Pomona Community Church. The church needs physical labor as well as encouragement and help with a children’s program. They will also have us do several work projects around base to help them in their ministry.
 
Southern Belize-Spring Break
Pomona, Belize

Primary Goal- Children VBS, Church Support
Secondary Goal- Work Project
Organization: Glasgow Belize Missions
Capacity: 16 Students, 1 parent, 3 staff

Housing: Bunk Rooms at the camp on base

• Each trip will have a parent meeting prior to departure that will include a detailed itinerary, emergency contacts, and specific packing information.
• The school will monitor on-going safety issues in each country prior to departure.
