Course Title:  Physical Education
 
2 Semesters – 10 Credits - 5 Class Periods Per Week
 
 
Course Philosophy:
This course is designed to provide Grade 7‑12 students an opportunity to become physically fit through various movement related activities. God desires men and women of integrity and athletics provides an opportunity to develop and demonstrate Christ-like attitudes on and off the playing field. Emphasis will be placed upon:
 
1. Proper exercises for class time as well as hints for conditioning away from school.
2. Light running with suggestions for aerobic training.
3. Learning skills related to football, soccer, softball, speedball, basketball volleyball, and badminton.
4. game strategy, rules, history of each game.
5. Written, as well as practical tests, will be given to aid in the evaluation process.   Other factors involved in grading will be effort, participation, cooperation, and sportsmanship as related to in Matt. 5:14
6. Weight training and conditioning is offered to students in grades nine through twelve.
                                7. Setting goals and learning to strive through adversity. Phil. 3:14, II Tim. 4:7
                                8. Teamwork and self control. Prov. 10:19, Ecc. 4:9-12
                                9. Hard work with a focus as unto the Lord not to men.

Open to all grades
 
Materials:
 
Tennis shoes and socks, along with the required school approved PE uniform.
